Carson Dellosa Education Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Veteran executives join the company to accelerate revenue growth and product innovation.

Carson Dellosa Education announced today that it expanded its executive team by welcoming Dan O’Keefe as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO), Kelly Geer as VP of Consumer Brands, and Bill Harris as Director of Inside Sales. These appointments support Carson Dellosa’s commitment to cement its position as the leading provider of educational solutions for school and for home.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dan, Kelly, and Bill to the Carson Dellosa team,” said Ira Hernowitz, CEO of Carson Dellosa Education. “Each of these leaders brings with them a wealth of experience from successful, child-focused companies, as well as a unique set of skills that complements our current team. They have proven track records of driving rapid growth with their customer-centric and innovative mindsets. I am confident that they will have a tremendous impact on our organization.”

O’Keefe joins the organization as CFO/COO with an extensive background in financial planning and operations, management, and strategy, along with deep knowledge of the consumer products industry. Prior to his role at Carson Dellosa, O’Keefe was SVP of Finance at Medline Industries where he was instrumental to the company’s exponential growth. He also held executive roles at Hasbro, Inc. and General Electric Co. “I’m excited to join a company with such a rich history in the children’s education market as well as an experienced and passionate leadership team,” said O’Keefe.

As VP of Consumer Brands, Geer will be focused on accelerating product innovation and on launching new solutions to help children learn at home. Geer has held executive positions at Sphero, Stride Rite®, and Hasbro, Inc., where she helped drive consumer-centric thinking while building successful brands. “I’ve always believed in the unparallelled power of play—to both entertain and educate. The opportunity to leverage and expand Carson Dellosa’s amazing content in new ways is incredibly exciting.”

As Director of Inside Sales, Harris will increase Carson Dellosa’s reach into small retail accounts and schools. He joins the organization with a rich experience in educational sales at Barnes & Noble, Melissa & Doug®, and most recently at Really Good Stuff®. “I am thrilled to be part of the Carson Dellosa team. My entire career has been spent in the educational industry and I’m eager to apply my past experiences to this position in order to grow the existing business, as well as bring in new business.”

According to Hernowitz, “This is an exciting time for Carson Dellosa Education. These key additions strengthen an already dynamic team, and demonstrate our commitment to bringing in exceptional talent to help grow our business and solve the challenges facing modern teachers, educators, and parents.”
