We are currently hiring for:

eCommerce Specialist (Remote)

We are seeking an eCommerce Specialist to join our eCommerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue in key eCommerce marketplaces, including Amazon 3P, walmart.com, Zulily, eBay, Wayfair, etc. You will also provide essential support to the Amazon 1P team. We are looking for someone with a marketing mindset to help consumers discover and purchase our products, and an unshakable drive to deliver on revenue goals. If you love eCommerce, if you get excited about spending time in Excel spreadsheets, if you’re described as both strategic and detail-oriented, and if you have superior communication skills, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage marketplace accounts across largest ecommerce platforms to drive revenue (Amazon 3P, walmart.com 3P, Zulily)
    • Responsible for revenue and profitability goals
    • Curate product listing, set product pricing and shipping policies
    • Manage inventory feed
    • Manage advertising opportunities
    • Track performance and adjust decisions daily
    • Forecast revenue and expenses
    • Ensure consumer satisfaction and operational performance KPIs are met
    • Stay abreast of key trends to adjust strategy
  • Grow our eCom business in new accounts
    • Identify and pursue new opportunities
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to set up new accounts (product, content, pricing, etc.)
    • Manage new accounts
  • Partner with IT to ensure proper systems integration (EDI, etc.)
  • Support key Amazon functions to drive revenue growth
    • Create ad-hoc and on-going analyses about inventory, POS, keyword trends, advertising
    • Provide support in identifying and uploading content
    • Assist in managing marketing campaigns to drive traffic, secure best seller/Amazon choice tags, etc.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of our product portfolio to understand how/when to merchandise products, pricing and profitability levers, inventory positions, etc.
  • Identify trends and provide input to product development to shape product roadmap

Key Requirements:

  • BS in marketing, operational research, business, finance, or related discipline
  • 1–3 years experience with Amazon Seller Central, Walmart marketplace, or eBay
  • 1–3 years experience in PPC (Google Adwords, Amazon AMS, or other pay-per-click tools)
  • Superior communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Excel and other data manipulation tools
  • Team oriented
  • Must be flexible, able to prioritize, and yet pivot on a whim
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Editor (Remote)

The Editor performs assigned duties to develop and produce top quality products for the supplemental educational market.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge of the company's vision and core values, business objectives, policies and procedures
  • Develop innovative supplemental educational product for the consumer market, both book and non-book, to support the active publication plan. See assigned projects from concept to development to final stages. Includes, but not limited to, initial development, creation of the PPA, all stages of development and final approval to the printer.
  • Responsible for quality, accuracy, and content of all assigned products
  • Works closely with Editorial Manager creating/presenting new product development ideas, including new and repurposed titles.
  • Research, coordinate, organize and manage tasks to complete the projects according to established timelines and budgets. Ability to work as part of a team and individually. Anticipate, understand, and satisfy the changing needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with staff from the A&D, Marketing, and Pre-press departments during all stages of development
  • Manage any external freelancers (authors, translators, proofreaders) and development houses as appropriate for assigned projects
  • Set and achieve high performance standards for self and others concerning outcomes that are important to the business; and to attain clear, concrete, timely and measurable results using multiple disciplines on a consistent basis
  • Needs to be team and deadline oriented and have the ability to prioritize and track multiple projects at different stages of development
  • Responsible for assigned product metadata
  • Travel may be required (infrequent)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area; observe all established safety practices and procedures; wearing the proper safety equipment, report unsafe acts, conditions, and/or accidents immediately
  • Monitor the educational community to identify trends and needs as they pertain to supplemental education products,
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education, Experience and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or Education
  • Demonstrated 2–5 years editorial experience
  • Educational publishing (K–12 market) experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style or comparable style book, InCopy publishing skills, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Filemaker Pro
  • Ability to read, comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to deal with people diplomatically and effectively
  • Competence in the operation of office and company equipment
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
  • Knowledge of reading leveling systems preferred, but not required
  • Understanding of Common Core Standards

Shipping Lead in Greensboro, NC

The Shipping Lead is responsible for leading and assisting in the fulfillment of customer orders in a team oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment. Duties will require closing of the facility when needed.

The hours for the Shipping Lead position are 9:30 am–7:00 pm Monday–Thursday and 9:30 am–1:30 pm on Friday. Position may require overtime and/or flexible work shifts.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for shipping papers (including international paperwork) and documents
  • Responsible for the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of orders being processed
  • Provide direction for all shipping department employees to ensure schedule completion
  • Review and coach employees on production daily
  • Must be able to understand the workload and adjust the shipping team to meet deadlines
  • Maintain daily communication with supervisor, packing, and other departments to ensure efficient order/product shipments
  • Understand Added Value Services customer and their required needs
  • Develop, maintain, and file all SOP standards for select customers as needed
  • Ability to operate pallet jack and sit down forklift
  • Ability to understand different shipping requirements for customers
  • Ensure “Ready to Ship” and “Orders in Transit” reports are updated daily
  • Verify Carriers are contacted for daily pick-ups
  • Must have prior experience with BOL completion and small package systems (UPS, FEDEX, and Mail)
  • Prior experience with volume and truck load quotes preferred
  • Computer competent in Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and customer portals
  • Ability to keep accurate records and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards
  • Excellent time-management skills possessing the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Remain knowledgeable of E-WMS and ERP systems, including all search and log files pertaining to the systems
  • Responsible for maintaining all shipping supplies
  • Prior forklift certification with the ability to operate sit down forklift as well as manual and electric pallet jacks strongly preferred
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma
  • 2–5 years of shipping department experience required
  • Competence in the operation of office and warehouse equipment

Physical Requirements:

Seasonal Pick/Pack Associate in Greensboro, NC

The full-time or part-time Seasonal Pick/Pack Associate performs the warehouse duties associated with picking and/or packing the company’s products in an accurate and timely manner.

Our distribution center is open from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Monday–Friday and occasionally on Saturdays.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow daily schedule set by the production planner
  • Accurately, neatly, and efficiently pick and/or pack customer orders
  • Meet established efficiency goals and department standards
  • Communication with lead(s) on a daily basis
  • Position may require flexibility to change hours or positions as needed

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Must be at least 17 years of age

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity
