We are currently hiring for:

Customer Service Manager in Greensboro, NC

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for the daily management of the B2B Customer Service Team located in two locations and works closely with customers, sales, finance, operations, and other support areas to drive and maintain an exceptional customer experience. The Customer Service Manager will also be responsible for tracking and reporting appropriate Customer Service KPIs.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As a primary customer advocate, maintain knowledge of best practices in Customer Service to maintain exceptional customer service always
  • Develop and prepare Customer Service KPIs and reports to include:
    • Inbound reports
    • Web Chat reports
    • Phone Log Reports
  • Monitor Phone, email, and web systems as assigned: Fuze, BoldChat 360 (WebHelp emails)
  • Document and proactively suggest improvements to existing customer service processes
  • Answer phone calls and process customer requests in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner using various systems
  • Process and maintain Order changes and Order Change reports
  • Unify and continue to develop and train a diverse and distributed team
  • Remain knowledgeable on all company products and promotions
  • Fax and email invoices
  • Communicate effectively with customers both in writing and orally
  • Complete and approve Return Authorizations
  • Assist customers with web-based orders
  • Attend and participate in product or process improvement training
  • Hire and Train Temps as needed to fill business requirements
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • 5–10 years of customer service experience
  • Spanish fluency; experience with educational products or publishing are a plus
  • Strong background with different software systems; knowledge of FACTS a plus
  • Professional demeanor and business experience
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively
  • Must be able to navigate through change and imperfect information
  • Proficiency in client service with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients
  • Knowledge of administrative support, activities, and office routines
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and exercise good judgment in decision making
  • Competence in the operation of office and company equipment

Associate Product Developer in Greensboro, NC

The Associate Product Developer researches, develops, and produces top-quality supplemental educational products to meet the needs of teachers and parents.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge of the company’s vision and core values, business objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop innovative educational products for children, both book and non-book, to support the active publication plan.
  • See assigned projects from development through final stages. Includes, but not limited to, initial development, concept presentations, all stages of development.
  • Write, review, and approve content for quality, accuracy, age-appropriateness, adherence to educational standards and CDE guidelines.
  • Manage tasks to complete the projects according to established timelines and budgets. Work as part of a cross-functional team to meet evolving company priorities and sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Art & Design, Marketing, Sales, and Publishing Operations teams during all stages of development.
  • Work with external freelancers or development houses as needed for assigned projects.
  • Maintain high performance standards to meet personal and company goals.
  • Leverage organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and anticipate and communicate potential issues.
  • Write, edit, and proofread Sales and Marketing material as needed.
  • Populate and maintain product metadata.
  • Utilize digital tools to actively and effectively contribute to the remote working environment. Includes, but is not limited to, file sharing, phone, videoconferencing, and chat/messaging systems.
  • Monitor the educational community to identify trends and needs as they pertain to educational market needs. Includes, but is not limited to, attending conferences; visiting stores; and monitoring the competitive space, social media, and news outlets.
  • Job may require overtime and/or flexible work shifts.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Education or English.
  • Elementary education classroom experience preferred.
  • Educational publishing experience (self-published or other) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools (i.e., Acrobat, InCopy, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style or comparable style book.
  • Mastery of English grammar, punctuation, spelling and usage.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Part-Time Junior Production Planner in Greensboro, NC

The Part-Time Junior Production Planner performs assigned duties, up to and including the planning, modification, and coordination of work schedules for warehouse operations to meet customer and departmental needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze orders by sorting data using a variety of input including Open Order reports, Excel, Back Order Report, WMS System, Current ERP System, and other electronic media
  • Investigate delays and modify schedules accordingly
  • Monitor actual production against schedules and match changes as needed
  • Determine lead times and plan & develop a schedule according to production, delays, and shipping times
  • Release sales orders for warehouse to process
  • Maintain shipping times and goals
  • Interface with numerous departments and individuals to coordinate, plan, and advise
  • Provide control and management of order fulfillment issues
  • Perform various transactions including allocation of sales orders to product
  • Meet efficiency goals set to departmental standards
  • Position may require flexibility to change positions as needed and may require overtime and/or flexible work shifts
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education, Experience and Abilities:

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Knowledge of warehouse environment
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
