Inside Sales Representative in Columbus, OH

Looking for a bright, energetic professional with outstanding communication skills. Highly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment. The candidate should have the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timeframes. Applicant should demonstrate a high level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making, and problem resolution skills.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a channel lead generation plan; meet/exceed quarterly and annual goals
  • Understand Carson Dellosa’s product offerings, position in the marketplace, and competitive advantages
  • Aggressively seek out new business opportunities by consistently conducting cold call activities at the decision-maker level while expanding existing accounts
  • Build financial and life cycle analyses to quantify value from the customer’s perspective
  • Learn and adopt our sales techniques as the foundation for all sales processes and practices
  • Effectively apply the principles of the sales process to determine prospective customer needs and help them visualize how Carson Dellosa can aid in achieving their goals
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for product introductions and restocking of existing products
  • Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with the purpose of gaining the client’s trust and delivering value added services
  • Prepare presentations for catalog proposals as required.
  • Prepare monthly a variety of reports and administrative paperwork including expense reports, travel log, status report, sales incentive worksheets, and bi-monthly forecast projections

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years related experience, preferably in a tele-sales capacity
  • Ability to make large amount of outgoing phone calls
  • Educational sales experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of CRM programs
  • Ability to travel and attend tradeshows
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Production Designer in Columbus, OH or Greensboro, NC

The Production Designer performs assigned duties, including coordinating production services for multiple projects with internal staff along with outside suppliers.

He/she is responsible for meeting project, budget, and time requirements and for ensuring quality file building by analyzing and reviewing project files. He/she acts as a liaison between production sources, the design staff, and the manufacturing department to establish PrePub processes. He/she will work closely with the Director of Publishing Operations to ensure that project goals are met. He/she will be required to communicate status and issues via status reports, meetings, and tracking information to the Director of Publishing Operations.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge of the company's vision and core values, business objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and organize tasks to complete projects according to established schedules and deadlines. Needs to be team- and deadline-oriented and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Responsible for pre-production steps including, but not limited to, file/font organization, prepping files, file conversion, template building, naming convention, flight check process, and posting files for vendors.
  • Responsible for post-production steps including, but not limited to, archiving files, reviewing and approving proofs and samples, and entering required data into database for tracking purposes.
  • Conduct art/design/production checks at all stages. Collaborate with staff from the Editorial, Marketing, and Sales departments while performing routine backups of all documents, art, and system files.
  • Revise, reformat, and create InDesign files to meet project requirements. Provide layout templates to A&D Department for new projects with parameters and common art pieces in place.
  • Interface with manufacturing and print vendors to ensure correct file setup and on-time delivery of files. Ensure that project files align with provided spec sheets.
  • Request quotes for new product ideas from Sourcing. Resolve questions from Sourcing and manufacturers. Organize sourcing requests and quotes, ensuring information is readily available at all times.
  • Initiate and conduct A&D Department staff training on new procedures. Create and define cross-departmental working procedures and systems as business changes/evolves.
  • Must have ability to create eBooks using Adobe Acrobat and In-House Digital Publishing software.
  • Set and achieve high performance standards concerning outcomes that are important to the business; to attain clear, concrete, timely, and measurable results using multiple disciplines on a consistent basis.

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively.
  • Competence in the operation of office and company software.

Customer Care Call Center Specialist

The Customer Care Call Center Specialist performs assigned duties including the timely, efficient, and accurate processing of orders. Individuals in this position are responsible for representing the company in the most professional manner possible while utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entering customer and employee orders in the various systems
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers both in writing and orally via phone, email, or online chat
  • Remain knowledgeable on all company products and promotions
  • Fax and email invoices
  • Enter credit memos on SharePoint portal
  • Complete Return Authorizations
  • Attend and participate in product or process improvement training
  • Sort and supply account numbers to faxed orders
  • Set up and mange new school accounts
  • Manage outbound promotional sales calls for assigned accounts and upsell to customers
  • Become cross trained for all customer service areas
  • Flexibility as job may require overtime and adjusted work shifts
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma plus 3–5 years phone related customer service experience handling a high volume of calls
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills
  • Ability to stay composed, patient, and professional
  • Must possess high proficiency in client services with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel knowledge is helpful)
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate computers and other company hardware and software
  • Infrequent light to moderate physical effort required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Replenisher/Forklift Operator in Greensboro, NC

The Replenisher/Forklift Operator performs assigned duties, associated with receiving, unpacking, storing and replenishment of finished goods in a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment while having knowledge of material part numbers and understanding the clerical work associated with the position.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate forklift equipment including narrow aisle reach lift, cherry picker, and power hand jacks
  • Follow daily replenishing reports set by Replenishing Lead
  • Meet established efficiency goals and department standards
  • Remain knowledgeable of E-WMS and ERP systems
  • Must maintain daily inspection check off sheet
  • Must maintain weekly watering inspection check off sheet
  • Maintain communication with Lead(s) on a daily basis
  • Position may require flexibility to change positions as needed and may require overtime and/or flexible work shifts

Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma
  • 1–3 years of related experience
  • Competence in the operation of warehouse equipment
  • Forklift Certification (required)

Physical Requirements:

  • Good vision, speaking, and writing ability
  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate computers and other company hardware and software
  • Frequent light to moderate physical effort required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
