Hope Reagan and Alice Oakley co-founded Education Resource Group in 2004. As former educators, Hope and Alice understand the need for instructional excellence. The mission of Education Resource Group is to provide high quality staff development services that promote the growth of all learners. The innovative ERG job embedded staff development process supports teacher effectiveness and student achievement K–12 and has been recognized as a model for building teacher capacity. Hope and Alice also write, develop and publish educational materials.
Hope received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her educational experience includes elementary, middle and high school instruction with both students and teachers. Hope has worked with a national research lab, analyzing, developing and publishing best practices for reading assessments. She has coached teachers ranging from kindergarten to high school, spanning beginning to seasoned teachers. She earned her master’s degree in language and literacy from Salem College and is certified to teach reading and writing in grades K–12.
Alice received her bachelor’s degree in early and middle grades education from Radford University. She has taught elementary, middle and high school classes and has coached adults in a variety of settings in Prek–12th grade education. Alice has developed materials for classroom teachers, instructional leaders and parents. As a National Board Certified Teacher, she has worked with both students and teachers on instruction and human behavior. She earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition, she has a K–12 reading certification.
